Message from the CEO
The origin of the name Yamakichi Engineering Co., Ltd. comes from the trade name of Fujii Shoten, a fish wholesaler founded by my father, Yoshiichiro Fujii, in Kushimoto-cho, Wakayama Prefecture in 1969. The business closed in 2018, 49 years after the company was founded.
When deciding on the name for the new company, I combined the trade name, Yamakichi, with “engineering,” which means the technology of combining things to bring out their best functionality, to come up with “Yamakichi Engineering Co., Ltd.”
I started Yamakichi Engineering to realize the passion for manufacturing that I had felt for many years during my experience at a trading company.
Yamakichi develops and manufactures various machines for renewal work and soft tires, mainly for managing golf course greens.
At Yamakichi, we develop products that value opinions from the field in order to meet customer needs.
At Yamakichi, we can help you create original products, even in small lots.
In the coming new era, we will continue to aim for even greater heights, leveraging our technical capabilities, which are the result of our many years of experience and knowledge.

We are currently developing various prototypes, and are looking for business partners who can handle small lots
in the fields of sheet metal processing, machined parts, painting, and more.

History
Founded as Yamakichi Engineering Co., Ltd. at 332-4 Tohori, Himeji City, Hyogo Prefecture with capital of 5 million yen.
Increased capital to 20 million yen (with three companies, Kitazento Co., Ltd., Shin-ei Plant Co., Ltd., and F.B Bison Co., Ltd., joining as shareholders).
Acquired the manufacturing division of Kitazento Co., Ltd., relocated the head office and factory to 160 Sukain, Koji-cho, Himeji-shi, Hyogo Prefecture, and began manufacturing soft tires for golf course greens.
- Developed and began selling our own branded products (root cutters, towable pivot aerators)
- Signed a distributorship agreement with PURE TURF, USA, and began exporting to the US
